Money Morning Australia Online Media Kit
Who Are We?
I’m Kris Sayce, Editor of Money Morning.
We’re based in Melbourne, Australia but have affiliates in London, England (you may be familiar with MoneyWeek magazine)… Baltimore, USA and Johannesburg, South Africa.
Every day an awful lot is written about finance and investing. Much of it is incredibly boring. Lots more is either meaningless or plain stupid. And most of it is a complete waste of your time.
Our aim is simple. To give you intelligent and enjoyable (yes, enjoyable!) commentary on the most important financial stories of the day, and tell you how to profit from them.

The People Behind the Money Morning:
Each issue of the Money Morning consists of two major parts:
- The issue begins with the local market covered by Kris Sayce and Shae Smith
- The local notes are followed by a technical analysis by Murray Dawes
Bios for our primary writers, Kris Sayce, Murray Dawes and Shae Smith are below.
Kris Sayce: Editor
Kris Sayce began his financial career in the City of London as a broker specializing in small cap stocks listed on London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM).
At one of Australia’s leading wealth management firms, Kris was a fully accredited adviser in Shares, Options and Warrants, and Foreign Exchange.
Kris was instrumental in helping to establish the Australian version of the Daily Reckoning e-newsletter in 2005. In late 2006, he joined the Melbourne team of the leading CFD provider in Australia.
Murray Dawes – Technical Analyst
Murray began his career on the Sydney Futures Exchange trading floor in 1993 with Swiss Banking Corporation (SBC). He spent a couple of years in the 3 and 10 year bond and option pits before moving on to the Share Price Index (SPI) futures and options pit. From there he became a broker with SBC specialising in SPI futures and options to institutional clients. After leaving SBC Murray continued his career in broking at Bankers Trust Australia.
Then in 2001 Murray moved to Melbourne to work as a hedge fund trader for one of Australia’s wealthiest families. In 2003 he was ready to set up his own firm providing the same proprietary technical trading system to some of Australia’s boutique hedge funds. The success of Murray’s system lead to him trading a $10 million account for a high net worth individual. This involved trading Australian and US futures and Australian stocks. Now Murray heads up the technical analysis desk for us passing on to readers some of his experience from 16 years of trading.
Shae Smith – Assistant Editor
Shae Smith started in the finance industry over 11 years ago. During that time she’s worked in many roles, the most recent was for a Melbourne stockbroking firm. Whilst there, Shae gained industry qualifications for securities and derivatives, and helped teach many clients the basics of trading using technical analysis.
